Hi There!

I’m Alyssa O’Dell, and I’ve been a makeup artist for over 10 years.

My journey to this career is a bit different from most. I wasn’t always the makeup enthusiast I am today. At 20, I was scouted for my customer service skills and offered a seasonal position at SEPHORA, a place I had never even visited before. Eager for a change, I embraced the opportunity, viewing it as my first "big girl job."

Little did I know, this decision would change my life forever.

At SEPHORA, I discovered a passion for makeup artistry that I never knew I had. After a year and some training, I became certified to do makeup appointments and was soon promoted to Senior Artist, where I had the privilege of certifying and training aspiring artists. It was an incredible, organic journey.

Throughout my career, I’ve shared my expertise across San Diego, Orange County, and L.A., and had the honor of training with some of the top global artists in the industry. I am truly grateful for these experiences and that chapter of my life.

After becoming a mom, I realized that working retail was becoming more challenging. It was time for another leap, and I transitioned to being a full-time freelance artist. Based in sunny San Diego, I specialize in bridal, special events, and photo shoots. My top priority is ensuring my clients look and feel their absolute best when they leave my chair.

I’ve met so many incredible people along the way and feel blessed to have a loyal clientele. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their makeup and helped me turn my passion into a career. I am forever grateful.
